When pricing a project, the choice of materials is of the utmost importance as it has a direct impact on fitting time, supply and delivery on site, wastage and skill needed to fit.

The shape of tiles is also relevant for pricing. Proper fitting requires planning, to ensure minimum waste and premium aesthetics with a quality finish. The more complex the shape of both tiles and areas to be fitted, the more planning the job requires.

The base material upon which tiles will be fitted must always be considered in pricing as it may need preparation or special adhesive solutions. If this is not accounted for and the wrong fitting materials or techniques are used, quality and longevity will be compromised.
